Great question hard answer. All have some crime, how much is to much? Only you can answer that.
Two ways to get the real information.
1. Call the police department and ask them for the neighborhood statistics
2. Go on line and look at tone of the sites that list statistics
A Realtor should not and can not give you an answer, you should have the real facts not an opinion. As for bad elements ride through the neighborhood on a saturday afternoon and a week day after work and you decide

You mention sites that give stats, what are some of those sites?

In other words, "I'm not telling you what you want to know -- go find out for yourself". Great realty service...

Marshall R: On the contrary, when you have a house up on your screen on our website scroll down to right above the button that says "Request a Showing" and you will see "See local info". If you click on that button and scroll down it will give you a brief idea of how that particular area rates for crime vs. the national average. For more detailed information you should do what my colleagues suggest. Hope this is helpful.
