Homepath is a great program offered by Fannie Mae and has options for all types of buyers, such as owner occupants, 1st time home buyers and investors that target all areas and neighborhood types.  Some of their incentive programs have been low down payment options, closing cost assistance and no private mortgage assistance on home loans...just to name a few!!

I understand the minimum credit score for Homepath Mortgage or Homepath Renovation Mortgage financing is a 660.

I am trying to buy a home, but I have a defaulted student loan on the CAIVRS (I'd actually forgotten about this as it's 25 yrs old and I haven't had any contact regarding this in years). I read elsewhere that homepath does not conduct a CAIVRS check. Is this correct? Everything else is fine. Income level, credit score.
