How long do we have to wait to buy a home after a shortsale. My wife is the only one on the loan.It's been 22 months since the loan was cleared. I have excellent credit but only earning 21K /yr.  Thanks

Most lenders will say 3 years, some which are more strict with 4 years, expecially if it will be an investment property.

strengthen your credit while waiting and save some money for a down payment.
