I work in the networking and web industry, and I think Ziprealy is an example of the best web technologies brought together with amazing design and execution of the concept. I think this website should be nomintated for a Webby award (seriously)

ME TOO!
As a ZipAgent I can't tell you how proud I am to work for a company that provides such amazing and useful tools to our clients to help them with their home search.
On the flip-side, the tools that they provide to us agents are nothing less than phenomenal as well.
Way to go Zip!

Thank you for the kind words. The technology that ZIP had to offer was one of the main reasons I joined ZIP. Agents with other firms also recognize the quality of the website as I have heard on several instances after calling a new registrant that they are already working with someone from another firm but that their agent told them to come to our site to search rather than keeping them on their own site.

Well said, Brett. As a former Realtor at a traditional brick and mortar brokerage, I am continually amazed at the tools Zip provides its agents AND its clients. I am proud to be a part of the Zip team! Don't know how sites get nominated for Webbies but let's spread the word!

This is by far the best place to search for and gain information on homes. I have been to other sites, but I wont go back, as they are not user friendly.
I will vote for Zip as best website, just tell me when and where! (Can I vote twice?)

What a pleasant thought. Unfortunately we are too late for this year, unless entry was already made by someone else. Nominations for this year are closed according to the Webby site at http://webbyawards.com/entries/closed.php
We'll need to wait and see if we are on the list anyway for 2009 results due out this month.
Thank you for your support.
Create a Great Day!

I agree!
Our Tech Team is really fantastic, and they are always coming up with new improvements. Keep an eye out, I am sure the site will keep getting better.

I'm glad to see people acknowledging the site. I was not able to use Zip with my home purchase as I was relocating and had to use the recommended realtors to get my benefits, but I have told the relocation company and the realtor that I worked with that this site far exceeds theirs and other realtor sites with all of the search features, sizing of photos, demographic and home value related information at the users fingertips. The interactive map is the best of any I have seen.
I did help a friend purchase a home through a Zip agent and it was a great experience being able to view homes and do our own drive bys without dragging the realtor around (no offense to the wonderful relators here). The site just allows for a better shopping experience.
I will always come back to Zip and recommend the site and the buyer/seller business model to all I know.

This is a great sort-of self congratulatory topic here but saying "zip realty has the best real estate website" is like saying "The DMV is the best place to get a driver's license". In other words, it's the best website in this category because no other website does a better job.
*I* am an interaction designer, UI designer, and web usability expert with 15+ years of experience designing & testing web software. I bang my head on my keyboard every time I try to do a lot of tasks on Zip Realty.com - I *know* Zip needs to improve usability a lot and in fact could use a whole-sale redesign.
Now I realize most people don't think about websites the way I do - but for goodness sake and for the entire ecconomic recovery - please fix user experience on this site!

Stephanie: Although our website is the number one used brokerage site, we continuously improve it based on specific client feedback - in order to stay #1! Other than suggesting a whole-sale redesign, can you give us some specific examples of how we can improve usability of our website?
